Despite not having been a traveler or even camped once in my life, I decided to go on a motorcycle journey with my partner which was the complete opposite of my city life in Chicago. I became a nomad, without realizing it, living out of a backpack. I wasn’t prepared for such a drastic lifestyle change and we were both inexperienced which made it difficult, but also exciting and new. We survived through many months of rain, heat, and cold, and made friends with strangers who were kind enough to host us.

I had been wanting to create an animation of our adventures, but I didn’t know where to start because I wasn’t a cartoonist or a technical person. When Quill, a VR drawing app, added animation tools, it made it possible for me because it was simple enough to learn and I was already familiar with Quill. It took me a full month of work to complete the first rough version, and another month to polish it. Thanks to Quill I was able to create this video and this kickstarted my learning in 3D!
